Millstone’s Drew Paglia messaged me on Facebook asking for help spreading the word on the amazing mission he and his sister have started.
Drew who is 16 and his sister Heather who is 13 have started the ‘$5 Wipe-Out COVID-19 Challenge.’ at www.5help.org.
Through donations, the brother-sister duo has purchased gift cards to area restaurants and eateries for the CentraState Healthcare Foundation. The gift cards are then distributed to staff at the hospital and patients being released after recovering from COVID-19 so they can purchase food for delivery. This is a brilliant idea as it supports our frontline workers and businesses.
The two have plans to get food to other hospitals around Middlesex and Monmouth counties.
Drew and Heather have received some national attention including a feature on Fox News.

It’s inspiring to me that two teens are selflessly taking on this effort and supporting their community economically and emotionally.
Drew and Heather’s goal is to raise $1,000,000 through GoFundMe to keep this challenge going locally and nationally. So far, they’ve raised nearly $200,000!
Think about donating that $5 and accepting the challenge. These kids are working hard!
